June 2018 CPI inflation grows at 5% and May 2018 IIP stands at 3.2%
Consumer Price Index Rural India inflation stands at 5% in June 2018 as compared to 4.88% in May 2018 and Urban India inflation stands at 4.85% in June 2018 as compared to 4.72% in May 2018 The all India general CPI inflation (Combined) for June 2018(Prov.) grows at 5% as compared to 4.87% in May 2018. The inflation rates for rural and urban areas for June 2018 (Prov.) are 5% and 4.85% respectively, as compared to 4.88% and 4.72% respectively, for May 2018. The growth in the three sectors mining, manufacturing and electricity in May 2018 stands at 5.7%, 2.8% and 4.2% respectively over May 2017. Primary goods growth stands at 5.7%, capital goods growth stands at 7.6%, intermediate goods growth stands at 0.9%, infrastructure/construction goods growth stands at 4.9%, consumer durables growth stands at 4.3% and consumer non-durables growth stands at (-)2.6% during May 2018 as compared to the previous year.
